Ariel Kitch works as a technology and media teacher in New York City. She believes that technology is a powerful tool to help engage students, create deeper understanding of curricular goals, and promote 21st Century skills.

As part of her work with the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools and Teaching (NCREST), Ariel helped coordinate and research ClassPop, a web site that helps document successful teaching practices with video. She presented research from ClassPOP at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting in New Orleans in spring 2010.
